Hello and welcome back to my blog. Today’s post will be all about redoing a sign from the Thrift store. I don’t know about you, but I love to go thrift shopping for something I can makeover.

I found this sign at my local thrift store for $5.00. While I love this sign just the way it is, it’s just not my style. My decorating style is more farmhouse/rustic. It was the size and shape that caught my eye, I knew it would be the perfect size for my entry.

I started by separating the sign and the frame. I love that this one has no glass. You also want to give it a good wipe down to get all that dust GONE.

I gave the frame 2 coats of white chalk paint and the sign I gave one coat of black. My favorite is Waverly brand. I used my Silhouette Cameo to create a stencil for the saying I wanted. Before I glued the sign and frame back together I distressed the fame a bit. (I love to distress everything, like seriously its an obsession.) I hung wooden beads on the sign with floral wire and topped it off with a burlap bow.

I love how this sign turned out. My entry may not be complete but this sign gives it so much character. I hope you guys enjoyed this little makeover.
